NORTH CAROLINA

PRIOR TO NOV. 30, 2020, EIGHT HOURS OF CONTINUING ED. IS REQUIRED FOR ALL BUILDING, RESIDENTIAL, OR UNCLASSIFIED LICENSCEES IN NORTH CAROLINA. THE TRAINING MAY BE IN A CLASSROOM SETTING OR ONLINE AND WE WILL OFFER BOTH THAT COMPLETE THE EIGHT HOUR REQUIREMENT. TWO HOURS ARE MANDATORY ALONG WITH 3 TWO HOUR ELECTIVES TITLED; "CONSTRUCTION ACCOUNTING," "CONSTRUCTION INSURANCE," AND "CONSTRUCTION LAW."

GEORGIA
THE RESIDENTIAL DIVISION OF THE GEORGIA CONTRACTORS BOARD HAS PASSED A RULE THAT REQUIRES EACH RESIDENTIAL BASIC AND EACH RESIDENTIAL LIGHT COMMERCIAL CONTRACTOR TO COMPLETE CONTINUING EDUCATION PRIOR TO RENEWAL OF THEIR LICENSE.  THEREFORE, THIS REQUIREMENT MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO JUNE 30 OF EACH YEAR.

THE RESIDENTIAL BASIC LICENSEES ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE AT LEAST THREE HOURS EACH YEAR FOR A TOTAL OF SIX HOURS PRIOR TO RENEWAL AND THE RESIDENTIAL LIGHT COMMERCIAL LICENSEES ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE SIX HOURS EACH YEAR FOR A TOTAL OF TWELVE HOURS PRIOR TO RENEWAL.  YOU MAY COMPLETE THIS REQUIREMENT BY ATTENDING A SITE SEMINAR OR BY GOING TO AN ONLINE SEMINAR.  YOU MAY SIGNUP FOR EITHER TYPE OF SEMINAR BELOW.

FOR 2020, YOU WILL NEED TO COMPLETE YOUR CONTINUING EDUCATION PRIOR TO JUNE 30, 2020.  

YOU WILL RECEIVE A CERTIFICATE STATING YOUR COMPLETION OF THE CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENT. PLEASE ALLOW 1-2 WEEKS AFTER SEMINAR TO RECEIVE YOUR CERTIFICATE.
